Hello everybody. My name is Jim, and I’m a programmer. I’ve been in the industry for nine years, and worked almost exclusively with the Macintosh for the past seven.

My hunting grounds consist of the innards of the Apple Macintosh and its operating system, and, since Spring 2007, the AppleTV and the BackRow interface & content framework therein. I’ve been a regular on AwkwardTV and have written some tutorials on BackRow programming on their wiki, and on their forums.

In the past few months I’ve become a freelance developer (thus no longer required to dissociate my name from my exploits chronicled herein) and have worked on commercial projects involving the Macintosh, the iPhone, and the Apple TV itself.

I’ve worked on Windows in the past, and can port software to the Macintosh; I’ve worked on and implemented everything from applications to plugins to runtime-environment-level software on the Macintosh.
